I want to use a ceiling rod storage rack to store some rods. The rack manufacturer recommends a distance of 42" between the butt end of the rack and the tip end of the rack. For 6'6" to 7' rods is there an optimal distance you would suggest placing the rack the between the butt and tip ends?
