XC705

I have a XC705 rod but it is a little light from what I'm used to , there is a little too much bend in the rod . I was looking at the XFT764 but looking at the specs of the rod it dont look too much different than the XC705 . Would i be better off with the XC725 ? Does it have a light tip but with out a lot of bend ?

The XFT 764 is one of my

The XFT 764 is one of my all-time favorite rods for largemouth bass. This rod does it all. It has a light enough tip to cast and pitch well, and for working lures, but all the backbone you need to set a heavy and big hook. It is my favorite rod for big soft plastics, but also makes an excellent jig rod for pitching.

Compared to the XC705, the rod weighs a little more, but it has a lighter tip and heavier butt than the 705. It is also longer, and the added length is great for setting the hook on a bass that takes your big plastics off to the side.

Thanks for your help Marc !

I'm with Marc on the XFT 764,

I'm with Marc on the XFT 764, by far my most used and favorite rod in the line up. The rod works great on many techniques from carolina rigs, jigs, senkos, and by far the best pitchin' rod I own. I fish the Calif. delta a lot and I also use it around docks pitchin' a frog also.
Hope this helps.
