I own all 4 of the Si models. The 9ft 6. 6 to 8 is an awesome side drifting rod. This rod is great in a boat but does not have enough backbone for bank fishing. On the other hand the 9ft 8. 8 to12 is a great all around rod. I have 2 of these rods one I use for fishing from shore with eggs, yarn balls, or throwing hardware. The other 1 I have set up as my bobber rod. It works ok for a bobber rod. Works great for 1/8 jigs with 3/8oz bobbers. But when using lighter jigs and light floats it doesnt have as soft of a tip as I like. I'm waiting for Lamiglas to expand the Si line to a 10ft 6 bobber rod. And a meduim heavy or heavy casting rod. That would make the Si line complete for the northwest fisherman. hope this helps

i think im going to go with the 9 ft 6 6 to 10 xmg spinning rod as i can use it for drifting and bobber and jig and throwing spoons or spinners. or i may see if the shop in town can order me one of the 9 ft 8 si spinning rods in 8 to 12. i all ready have a 9 ft 10 to 12 si casting rod.

I began bass fishing three years ago after my mother passed away. My neighbor gave me a top water lure and told me to visit the local lakes and learn to throw a line. I did just that and as luck would have it, I caught a bass that was a little over a pound on the first cast. I never knew how difficult this bass fishing would become. It is one of the most exciting sports of never knowing when a strike will come next. I am hooked more than the fish.
I got a chance to hold a Lamiglas rod in a fish only sport shop this summer. I hope to land one of these rods in the future from reward points. Nothing would please me more than to have my own name placed on this rod. Move over Mr. Clung, KVD and others I have purchased items from. Louie 3 is a fry with an eye on the prize.
Thanks lamiglas for allowing me a chance in getting one of your rods as a fry guy. Your rods feel balanced and smooth. I look to the day that I land my first with you in my hand.
