to much rod ?

I am considering the purchase of the Kenai killer , for fall chinook in the lower Deschutes below Maupin bridge, I have had a few successful seasons on this part of the river. In any given day the average fall run will weigh around 18 to 30 lbs. the river is fast and deep around Sherars . the question is have in your opinion is the Kenai Killer sensitive enough to detect roe bites as they seem to be very light and quick? any thoughts on this will be considered , has anybody here ever fished this stretch of the river?

The kenai killer is a very

The kenai killer is a very heavy rod. I would consider going with the G1348T. Same length as the kenai killer but will have a lighter tip and you will be able to detect those lighter bites a bit easier. Hope this helps.
