Look at the weight lure specs on the Kenai Special. Anything you like in your length,etc that is heavier than that rating will work fine. The Kenai Special will actually work, with the smaller end of that style gear, and would be the great for silvers. The Special is also a nice downrigger rod option.
Bigger, deeper gear for kings the rods closer the Kenai King ratings are best. In a shorter, but 2 piece rod I really like the Puget Jigger, they used to make a rod called the Willamette Special on the same blank that is a favorite of mine as it backbounced, trolled, or hoglined well without being to stiff to have fun with a fish.

Fiberglass, dude! Check out either the certified pro fiberglass line or the classic glass line.

My first choice would be the XCF904.
