Josh,
Curiosity demands that I ask;
Does Lamiglas build a blank knowing the specs (power, lure and line weight) that it will be when it comes off the mandrill or is that measured after the blank is completed?
Thanks,
Don

We usually have an idea of what we want to build before it is built. However that almost always changes once the blank is finished. Unless we have a set spec that we are trying to hit, then it usually just takes a few more tries ( in design) to get it to match the specs. Good Question.

I'm looking building 2 pc salt water baitcasting rod and have a question on the Heavy Jigging & Saltwater Composite NZ90-2XH,NC96-2H what is the action on these blanks and would they work well as saltwater baitcasting rod using braided line .
The G1000 Live Bait blanks GLB 90 2M 7’6, GLB 93 MH 7'9" are the two other models I'm also looking at as 1 or 2 piece baitcaster. Still prefer a 2 piece for the convenience of traveling with it in the car.
Thanks
George
GVLag1,
The G 1302 T Puget Jigger salmon rod is built on the GLB 90 2M blank, used to be a backbouncing salmon rod the "Willamette Special" also on the blank, whole different criteria for backbouncing, but it worked well, very versatile blank. Casting weights I'd half the values shown.
It casts very nicely. All the live bait blanks I've tried do as that's what they were designed for. All work fine with braids.
No one knows as much as all of us.
