I have a Van Staal VS-150 and I'm looking to pair it with one of your Rods. Is the new Black Salt line of rods made with the new powerlux material? or Are the Black Salt blanks Tri-flex blanks with new quides and handles. What are they made of? Is the power curve similar to the tri-flex blank I have the BL 7025S and a TFX 7030S and love them. I fish from a boat. On the East Coast. Inshore and near shore. This combination will be used to chase Bass and Blues under Bunker pods.
Which rod would you sugest?

The Black Salt series are not made with the new Powerlux Material. They are made of a blend of IM Material and XM 50 Material. The only 2 rods in the black salt series we are using Tri Flex are the BS 725 S and the BS 775 S. I would run the BS 725 S this will fit your need's. I hope this helps have a great day!!!
