Restoring 11'4" Honey Color Model 1163 One-Piece / Info & Paint?

Hi all. I'm in the process of restoring two old one-piece surf rods, both the classic Honey color. One has virtually no paint remaining.

What type paint is best suited to refinish these style Lami blanks, and does anybody have any specs / info on the vintage of these blanks?

Thank you, Ken

No additional ID on the two blanks. Simply 01163 Lamiglas. Honey color.

Does Lamiglas recommend a honey color code for rod restorations?

Just sand down the blank with

Just sand down the blank with a very fine grit sand paper. Then use a automotive clear coat. Or you can also use a rod varnish. That will help you to restore the finish. Hope this helps...
