A few years back ( probably 8 give or take a couple years) I purchased a couple of Lamiglas blanks. While cleaning out my garage I re-discovered these beauties and have knocked the dust off of all my rodbuilding equipment and decided to build them up. My problem is that I cannot remember of find the information on the blanks as far as reccomended line and lure weight. There is a sticker on the blank that says XC86H. They are a deep "Cherry" color. If anybody has any information on these blanks I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to put the information on the rod. I would guess that these are light saltwater or heavy freshwater and somewhere near the 20lb line class. If I don't get the information it's no big deal.

I believe that those blanks were designed, like you said, as heavy freshwater light saltwater rods. 8 foot heavy action line rating of some where around 12-25lb. Hope this helps.
That does help. It helps to confirm my guess. 12-25 lb line seems like it would be correct for these blanks. These particular blanks are 7' 1" I should have mentioned that in my previous post.
