Question for Tag

Tag,
Maybe you can help me, I have a XC807 Big Bait Special, it's a older rod, excellent condition other then what feels like a loose reel seat, I use a Curado 300 with it, the base of the reel seat feels loose, is this something I could repair myself if given instructions or would it be covered under warranty? unfortunately I no longer have the purchase receipt, looked up and down for it.
Should I send it in and take my chances that it would be repaired under the warranty,
Thank you, Dave

Or any of the rod squad could

Or any of the rod squad could help me on this, rod says "Hand Crafted in Washington"

If the reel seat is turning

If the reel seat is turning on the blank send it in and we will take care of it. If it is the back of the reel rocking side to side the only thing that can be done is to put a small piece of electrical tape on the back tip of the reel seat. Shimano has changed there reel foot shape so many times the reel seat manufactures (Fuji) are always trying to keep up. It is a constant battle every time they introduce a new reel.

Josh, The reel seat says,

Josh,
The reel seat says, lamiglas 17, not a Fugi and the slop feels like it's in the blank under the reel seat and the cork.

The bigger companies buy

The bigger companies buy enogh for a product to have a company die done from the manufacturer. Sounds like you need to send it in to have Lamiglas look at it.

No one knows as much as all of us.

I inherited a Lamiglas rod

I inherited a Lamiglas rod that I know next to nothing about It has the following markings:

Lamiglass S-Glass 8 1/2 SSH1032F
2-7/8oz. 8 to 15 # test Lure wt 1/4 to 5/8

The rod is in 2 peices and is brown with blue loops.

Does anyone have any information on it? ie..how old, value, demand, etc....?

I'm more curious than anything as I plan to keep it. A layman's explanation would be appreciated as I know very little about fishing. Thanks!

dbert7, Put your inquiry in

dbert7,
Put your inquiry in the Salmon/steelhead rod section, it's a steelhead/small salmon rod and a dandy.
