Lamiglas Esprit EC 96LLS "K5"???

My question is: What does the K5 indicate? made in 2005?

Also, if I'm not mistaken these were made with the xmg50 material?

What would be a reasonable value for this rod in good to excellent condition?

Built Nov 2005. A=Jan.,

Built Nov 2005. A=Jan., L=Dec. Yes, sort of first generation XMG. Blanks with same characteristics most be different according to the published blank dimensions from 2005 (Esprit) to 2006 (XMG50). The 2005 were thinner and therefore probably thicker walled blanks.

Thanks for the help on the date. As to the xmg comparison, I assume by thinner you mean the outside diameter of the blank is less on the esprit than the xmg50 version? Therefore thicker walled material to achieve the same rating? The esprit is a beautiful rod and the action is perfect for the intended purpose - freedrifting bait.

The current XMG has been re

The current XMG has been re designed since the original model. As far as the raw material they are both xm 50 material. The esprit is a awesome rod. We do still have parts for the esprit if a accident does occur.
