What presentations did Lamiglas design this rod for. The action seems a little slow and a bit light for salmon jigging yet maybe a bit stiff for pulling plugs, mooching or downriggers. Any thoughts on this or input as to what owners are using it for? Thanks

The 86MH is one of those all around type rods. Guys will use it for steelhead, mooching for salmon, trolling plugs and just about anything they can try. It isn't the perfect rod for those techniques but it is adequate for the person that can't afford 10 rods. This length of rod whether in the G-200 series, G-1000 series or the new X-11 has always been among the top selling rods we offer.
