Extending a rod?

Is it bad for the rod to be extended? I know a few people who has there ron arra 1 piece rod extended and has no problem with it. I have read somewhere on this site that having a rod extended is bad for the tip or is that for a 2 piece rod.

It can be harder on a blank

It can be harder on a blank because it does put more stress on the tip of the blank. It does void the warranty also. That being said it can be done successfully as many have.
