#30 hotshot plug rod

Hello Lamiglas and everyone else. I am in the market for a few plug rods, and need advise.I am looking at two models, one is the xcc 801 and the other is the g1306t. I mostly use small plugs on the Gin clear river i fish here in northern california, so i need a verry soft tip for mostly hot shot #30s and a couple of 35s. I am leaning torwards the xcc 801 because i like shorter 1 piece rods better, but have a friend that uses the g1306-t and does well with them. Are the 801s a better choise for small #30 size plugs? Thank you!

yes there great for low clear

yes there great for low clear and slow flowing water i can get my plugs working in water thats barly moving but i think there alittle light for fighting big fish in current. I have 801s but I use my 802s for most of the plug pulling, i fish water thats usaly moving faster and the fish on the Op can get big. If you get an 801 it can double for a kokanne downrigger rod as well.

The XCC 801 GH would be a

The XCC 801 GH would be a great choice... If I had to pick 1 Steelhead plug rod that would be it!!!! It will allow your plug to work as it should and when the fish takes the rod is soft so the fish will not feel the resistance so they will turn and lock the hooks in the corner of the mouth. More hookups and more fish landed. Great combination. Hope this helps!!!
