Certified Pro warranty question

My certified pro x96 JS has a couple eyes that make a small 'click sound' if I apply a little downward pressure on them with my finger. Upon closer inspection I see a clear (glue?) substance that seems to reinforce the lower eyes. My rogue river special has this too. Anyway...the clear substance seems to be responsible for the noise. Almost like it's coming undone from the eye.

I'm afraid the next big fish I hook will bust the eyes, even though they are still attached properly. The rogue river special does not make this noise, but I haven't caught as many fish on it.

Is this normal or should I send it in?

What you are hearing is the

What you are hearing is the guide creeking under the wrap. More than likely the noise will go away after a few fish. Unfortunately there is no way for us, or any manufacture that is, to predict when this will happen to individual rods. The "Glue" you are talking about is the epoxy that we coat every guide with. Over time and with stress on the guides the epoxy may get what look like fractures in them. All this is is the epoxy slightly cracking. Nothing is wrong with them just normal wear and tear. Hope this helps.
