Whats the deal with this blank? Seems to be almost the thinnest tip and butt, very light and has a rating up to 3 times higher than the other choices in this series??? 1-6 interests me. Would love more info on this blank and what are most using this particular blank for? Thank you in advance.....

I believe that blank is in the G 1380 T rods, a universal, short, salmon rod for herring, kwikfish, and backbouncing. The rating you see is not it's casting weight rating as it's used most for anchor fishing or trolling as built in the rod above. I believe it's casting weight is in the 1/2 to 2 oz. range, 25 lb line rated blank. Built rod grip length might be a bit long at around 14 inches for back east.
I'm not saying it won't work well out east for livebait, etc., I have used the GLB 90 1MT for casting livebait (mullets, etc. to 8 inches) to cobia, tarpon, etc. in Florida. My father uses a PLB 90 1MT Perigee green version for the same purposes as the G 1380 T above. I believe these blanks are rated 1/2 to 2 1/4 oz casting weight, 30 lb line rating.
No one knows as much as all of us.
