Hey guys, I'm putting together four Kokanee rods, based on some advice from Bill Herzog of Northwest Wild Country.
I'm using the FL-965 blank to create a downrigger rod that defines noodliness. I could just use the pre-built FC-76-UL, but I want that extra length as a guarantee for the real softees. I'll be mating these rods with a direct drive single action fly reel that I'll pick out later.
There are two areas that aren't as cut-and-dried as I'd like them to be, and that's going to be guide style and guide spacing, and this is where I could really use the assistance of the Rod Squad Gurus.
I'll be using "standard" guides on a fly rod AND I'm using it for trolling, not fly casting, so I'm having a hard time pinning down guide sizes and guide spacing (for obvious reasons).

Think you guys could help me? I'd appreciate it!
