TriFlex Graphite Saltwater Selection

I would like to get one of this series to pair with an AVET MXL for long island sound stripers/blues....I want a 7' rod, 15-30 line weight, with a gimbal butt end. It looks like the BL 7030 CGH or BL 7030 CGH-SP are the only options that come with the "2" handle, but I can't tell from the catalog what the material on the "2" handle is. I read somewhere that it is a graphite handle...but I've never seen a rod with a smooth graphite butt nor does it sound like a good solution. It looks like the "4" handle has a gimbal end and a foam butt...but it does not appear to be available in a 7' rod.

Any help would be appreciated.

We west coast anglers have

We west coast anglers have used graphite grips for many years now, and the smooth plastic shorty grips have been used everywhere on saltwater rods for much longer with no problems. Structurally the graphite is very similar to the tube they use as paddle and oar shafts with zero problems.
Some worry about it being slick, it isn't any slicker than an ax, hammer, or hatchet handle, everyone knows how dangerous those are.

No one knows as much as all of us.
