Casting for King Salmon from Shore

I am new to this, so bear with me. I am looking for the perfect King rod to for casting from shore on the Kenai River. I have heard many people suggest the Kenai Special, but they say that the Certified Pro is better. I have also heard that 8'6" is where I want to be for length, but the Cert. Pro does not come in an 8'6" rod rated for 20#. I plan on matching whatever rod I get with a Shimano Corvalus CVL-400 and Spiderwire Stealth or Power Pro 65 or 80# braid. Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't worry so much about

Don't worry so much about length, the no stretch line is of greater concern, sensitivity is covered by the line so I would go with a bit more durability to cover cramped fishing conditions you can find on the Kenai.
I'd look at the G 1318 T.

No one knows as much as all of us.
