It has been awhile since I looked at buying a new rod. I like the 8-17 spinning and was looking at purchasing a new one but was also curious how the XM 8-15 spinning fairs. Main use would be with corkies with use upto 1oz cannon balls.

The XMG rod's are a higher modules so they will be more sensitive to fish with. Either the XMG or the Certified pro would work well for you. Have a great day.
