The new Si rods are billed as Salmon Steelhead rods but I notice that there are no lure weights marked on them and the line recommendation is pretty low, I think maxing at 15 lbs. Are these going to be manufactured a bit heavier or are the new fomulated blanks able to handle say double that line recommendation. Don't want to nullify the warranty.

We did not put line rating's on the rods because we designed the rods for folks who know their limitations on rods and are capable of throwing differing amounts with ease. As long as you are not trying to heave three or four ounces with the rod than you should have no problems at all. Hope this helps.
