Best All Around Rod For...

Our fishing club will be doing a fundraiser by raffling off a Lamiglas rod at our next event. We are looking for opinions on which Lami would be the best all-around choice for stripers, bluefish and fluke off the New Jersey coast. MSRP should be around the $250 mark.

Thanks,
Bob

If this is for a boat rod the BL7025C is the most versatile.

I feel that this selection is a good one, but I have had great success with the BL7030C, as i am a strong proponet of using lighter tackle to enjoy the sport more. This rod has the backbone to manhandle bluefish but still enjoy the fight, and the sensitivity for sea bass and fluke. I paired it with a Newell 235 and have to keep people away from my setup with an armed guard (lol). I do feel it might be a little light for Stripers, but this rod has performed better than my expectations, and won't break the bank either.

Hey Fred I am from Sheepshead

Hey Fred I am from Sheepshead Bay and purchased a Tri-Flex blank last year at the Sportsman Expo in Rockland. Its the CGBT 84 1MH.... its 7 feet long. Great for the DEEP water fluke, because thats the only place your going to catch a keeper, outrageous for chunking and eeling. Dude when Im fishing with my partner and friends on our boat I need to hang hand granades from the guides. Its a fantastic blank and low weight. Forget about breaking the bank it list for about $100.00.
