lamiglas si vs xmg 50

Just wondering which rod would make a better all around spinning bobber rod for steelhead here in the pacific northwest. The new lamiglas si 9'8" 8 - 12lb. Or the xmg 50 10'6" 6 - 12lb. I would mainly be fishing 1/8oz to 1/4oz jigs. Any advice would help greatly.
Thank you.

IMO unless your drift fishing

IMO unless your drift fishing with your spinning rod Sensitivity isnt all that important with bobber fishing. Id put your money into a high quality drift rod (such as the Si or Xmg) that is all about weight and sensitivity and get a cert pro float rod. Either one of those is perfect for float fishing.

The new Si 98 MS is an

The new Si 98 MS is an awesome rod but you will not go wrong with the EXS 106 ML either. Just a preference on length and cost. Hope this helps.

I haven't fished the Si but

I haven't fished the Si but own the XMG 50 10'6 ML and love the rod. Float fishing doesn't require sensitivity, but I have also used it for drifting and bouncing eggs off the bottom, a little long but you can feel the fish breathe on the bait. I love it!!!!!!! I do like the extra length if I don't get my belly mended all the way when I'm bobber fishing. I use it mainly for bobber fishing the Columbia, Snake, Walla Walla rivers and Drano.

i have the 10 ft 6 xmg it is

i have the 10 ft 6 xmg it is a great bobber rod you could also use it for drift fishing or throwing spoons and spinners as well. this is what i use mine for you will love it. you can feel the fish breathe on the jig when it swings by in front of them. the certified pro is a great rod as well. you cant go wrong with either. the si is whole new beast you should give one a wiggle and see what you think they are both sweet rods. you could be like me and buy the 10 ft 6 for bobber and jig, spinners and spoons. i picked up a 9 ft 2 xmg today for drift fishing another sweet stick to round out my arsenal. looked at the si that is one sick rod. if i brought that one home i may have to sleep in the dog house. my wife says i have to many rods.
