I found a really god deal on the subject blanks.......would they make a nice trolling rod for long lining crankbaits for Lake Onterio salmon in the fall?

Anyone???? It's suppose to be "good" deal...not "god" deal.
By the way, its the blank for the XCF 862 Certified Pro Fiberglass. What makes a good plug trolling rod anyway?
A tip that will allow a plug to dive deep and that is easy to read to see what the plug is doing. A good backbone to fight the bigger fish. Graphite rods will have a mag tapper and glass rods are also good for plugging. I use the xfc 802s for pulling plugs and i love em. Id say that 862 is a decent rod for what your doing. 8'6" is good for a lake or saltwater boat. Alittle heavy action wise for the smaller fish tho.
