Plug Rod

Im looking for a salmon & Stelhead plug rod. For the steelhead I will be using mainly hot shots for plugs, and for salmon i will be using kwik fish. Would I be looking at the same rod or two different rods, and what rod or rods would you recomend?

To get the job done perfectly you are looking at two different rods. I would reccomend the XCC 801 GH for your steelhead fishing and for salmon fishing I would reccomend the XCC 803 GH. Hope this helps.

I have both the XCC 801 and

I have both the XCC 801 and the XCC 803. I wouldn't trade either one for the world.

I was running wiggle warts with the 801 in December and landed 4 salmon all between 15 and 20 pounds. It wasn't my rod of choice at that point as we really had to play them out to get them to the boat although the rod held up to the punishment.

I have hooked 30 lbrs on the 803 and had no problem what so ever.

Both great rods!
