i recently got the Lamiglas Super Surf rod (SSU 133 2MH) for christmas. but then i told a friend of mine and he said i should of used the GSB blank...he said the super surf rod has no backbone. hes the jealous type when someone gets something better/nicer then him. Is that true? Is it better then the GSB or stronger then the GSB blank? I was told it was. What do you think about what he said? I needed an 11 footer and this is the one i wanted for the beach and for throwing heavier bucktails while fishing the inlet...and while i have this post up, any good perks about this rod that i may not be aware about...it is the two piece rod by the way - Blank - SSU 133 2MH...any tips and anything will be greatly appreciated

SSU does not make that pole. You are talking about the RON ARRA pole by the sounds of it. Give your buddy a box of tissue's and be on your way.
