Lamiglas northwest special

My dads looking to buy a new float and jig spinng rod that he found at swains. He said it was a northwest special 96 4-10lb. He also said the blank was grey. The old northwest specials were great but they had a navy blue blank. I remember with the old ones you could beat around in the bush and they wouldnt break built with heavy duty guides, then they changed to the cheep guides. Can anyone tell me what rod hes looking at and what type of blank its made from and what it comes with.

With out seeing the rod it

With out seeing the rod it will be hard to know what guides they are and what year the rod was made. But from the sounds of it it would be one of the older models made prior to '06 and at the time hade fuji guides. Hope this helps.

well i went and took a look

well i went and took a look at the rod he was gonna get. It was an older g1000 1367. How good is the warranty on these rods?

They are the same warranty

They are the same warranty that all of the G1000's are. Limited lifetime warranty.
