I see Lamiglas came out with the AKS series of rods. I am building a conventional surf rod as we speak and am exploring the idea of woven graphite butt section. I have built a Lamiglas Indian River utilizing Texalium tubing for the butt section and it worked out great. Anyone built a longer rod (10") using woven graphite butt section? Any problems?
