What blanks are you refering to by "B". And are you wanting fiberglass or graphite rods?

To be direct Batsons Rainshadow CB series are underpowered for their rating in my opinion.

I am looking for a heavy glass rod that will fit my style but am open to other options for materials.

With an underpowered crank bait rod it is hard for me to tell weather you are hung up or have a 5lb fish on.

Would appreciate your thoughts.

Have you looked at the BSP 962 or BMB 96 3M? Both are used for big plugs a steelhead/salmon. I have one of the earlier SMB 96 3M S glass versions that will easily handle those lures.
