Hello,
I picked-up 9 old blanks from a pawn shop this afternoon that appear to be original red weave. They were bundled with at least 100 saltwater tonkin cane rods that the pawn shop owner said came from an estate sale a couple years ago. I don't know if the age could be determined by the fact that the others were all from the 1940's or 1950's. Do you know how I could make a positive identification of these blanks, and if they'd be worthwhile building? They're all 5' and fairly heavy action.
Any advice would be appreciated.
