X 86 MTC

So I recently bought a new X 86 MTC for a steelhead drift rod, but while I was shopping I noticed the G-1313 right next to it. It had much more butt section power, at least it felt like anyway, also it could handle more lure weight, but with steelhead you need as much sensitivity as possible, so I went towards the Certified Pro. Is this still a capable rod, as far as overall power is concerned, despite being lighter? I'm not planning on salmon fishing with it, just steelies.

Also, how would the X 10 MHC be as a salmon float rod? Been having quite the time finding float rods that are ideal for large salmon, seems hardly any companies seem to make salmon-specific float rods besides you guys.

Thanks

Feel confident in your choice

Feel confident in your choice with the X 86 MTC it is an awesome all around steelhead rod. You will not regret your decision. As far as the X 10 MHC goes I personally use the X 106 MHC for all my salmon float fishing so you will do just fine with the X 10 MHC. Plenty of power. Hope this helps.
