I have the 1083-2 w/ a Stradic 5000FI and I love this rod for days when the surf is small. I'm thinking about the 1203-2, or 1204 for a little more power. The 1204 only comes as 1 piece, and I like ease of transporting a 2 piece rod. How much difference is there in power between the 1083 and the 1203? Is there another rod available as a 2 piece that will give me a little more power to throw plugs up to 2 1/2 oz. with a similar action to the 1083?
