I'm not sure this is the right forum, but I think Steel-heads are quite close to Sea-trout (salmo trutta trutta). Now, I've read so many good things about lamiglas rods, I think it's time to get one! The Sea-trout I fish are on the Swedish west coast and rarely get over 5 kg they can whey 15 kg but I never seen one.
I fish mostly Spinners, spoons, plugs 15-30g, sometimes bombarda with fly, shrimp and worms. Since inshore fishing requires a lot of walking, it would be great if it wasn't to heavy. The reels I'll use are Pflueger President and Ambassadeur 4500 C3, usually with braid. I've looked att G1000 and Rogue River series, pricing around $200.

A good rod for you would be the g1313t. It is light and has lots of power.

How about 1306-T is it to light, if limit myself to -25g baits?
It would work ok as long as you limit the lure size like you said.

Does it handle 20lb braid, since 10lb to thin to manage?
Yea you just would not want to pull any harder than you would if you were fishing 10.

Is there any difference in the G1000 series depending on when it was made, a fishing buddy if mine has a 1306-T he's willing to let it go for $80. I don't know him that well so is there any way to check how old it is. He told me it's 3 or 4 years old, It looks very nice.
If it is flat colored blank it was made after 2005. if it is shiny it is before.

Well, I ended up with a XMG50 EXC 96 M-C 9' 6".
The only thing that bothers me, is the 15lb line limit, do you recommend any line with this rod?
I usually fish with 20lb Power-Pro braid, but this is an expensive rod and I wouldn't like to mess it up. Is there any floro or mono with good bite detection?

Great Rod!! I believe most monos are close as far as bite detection with floro having a slight edge.
