My brother lives in the heart of Steelhead Alley and I want to get him hooked on fishing. I just bought 2 Rock Creek rods. One is 8'6" and one is 10'6". I am going to give one of these rods to him, but don't know which length would be best and/or most versatile. I'm thinking he will bank fish using spinners/spoons and maybe do a little drifting. Suggestions?

Really? No one has an opinion? (Maybe you're all out fishing.) If you were going to fish Steelhead Alley, would you want the extra length of a 10'6" rod?

Sorry for the late reply we dont work weekends here at the factory. I would suggest the 8'6". It will be the most versitale and managable for him. Especially if he is just getting started. Hope this helps.
