I am planning to build it spinning with a Spheros 6000 and was wondering if you had a spacing suggestion to start with? I will mainly use it for plugging the surf in the Northeast. Any information is greatly appreciated.

J thank you for the response. In the other post you guys had mentioned possibly using 7 guides on this blank. Do you have the spacing for that as well so that I could test to see which I like better? Also, do you recommend starting with a 30 or 25?
Thank you,
Sal
tcs - for an 11' rod, i'd recommend at least 7 guides, if not 8 or 9. i assume this is going to be built for briad. if so, you can use a 30 or even as small as a 20 depending on the guide choice and braid pound test. i'm not sure of the diameter of that spool off hand, but a 30 will most likely work. i'd transition from a 30 to a 20, to a 12 and then a 10. from there, use 10s thru to the tip. make sure you put some thread over the female end of the ferrule to protect it.

I agree with fontainerods the more guides the better. However we do not have a spacing for that blank with more guides sorry.
