I am looking for advice on which Excel series rod would make the best rod for deep cranking ledges with 10-12 copoly or flouro. I fish tournaments on KY Lake and Barkley, and in the summer I need a crankbait rod to throw a DD-22 and Strike King 6XD as far as possible. I would also want the rod to have some backbone and not bend to far down the blank. The rods needs some sensitivity in the blank to tell where the bait is, on bottom, in shells or rock, clay, sand etc. Once one of these 3-5 pounders hits you, you know it right away!!

If there is a better rod in another series that fits all of this, please let me know.

I am interested in purchasing your rods because they are quality, AMERICAN made (say no way to imports), and I have enjoyed using the Rod Squad feature.
