In an early question you mentioned the term "line roll over". What is it? and how does it effect fishing? What is the spline portion of the rod that Power Oval guides prevent the line from rolling over on?

In my response early I had said that the spiral wrapped guides are the ones that would prevent the line roll over. By this I mean when the rod is under excessive load the rod could have a tendency to roll to one side or another on the spline. The spline is like a "spine" of a rod. This is were the rod gets its guides lined up on. Wether the guides are spinning or casting will dictate whether they are wrapped on top of the spline or on the bottom of the spline. Hope this helps
