I'm just getting into salmon/steelhead fishing and would like a versatile casting rod. My Inlaws have a place on the Klickitat close to Lyle, so would mainly be fishing there and surrounding rivers. I will be casting spoons, spinners and drift fishing.
Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

I would suggest you take a look at the X86MTC. It will be able to fish for steelhead, coho, fall chinook, and spring chinook. It will do what you need it to do and more. Hope this helps.
