Hi im new to Lamiglas and I have seen while browsing online that some lamiglas surf king rods are made in China...Particularly the blue and silver one (maybe an older model because the current ones are black and silver)....Can someone please explain this to me? Did the surf king use to be made in China? or are the ones i've been seeing around fake? Because i believe that the current model of the surf king (black and silver) are made in USA. Also, did the surf kings use to be made in fiberglass then changed to graphite? or were they always made in graphite? I've been looking around and cant find any information about this. Does anyone know what im talking about? Thanks.

All the surf kings are made over seas. We just are not able to build graphite surf rods for that price point here in the USA. And yes they are made up of graphite. Hope this helps.
i just bought the same rod and to my surprise is made in china too. does production in the orient effect the overall quality of the product.

The rods that we have produced over seas are built to our specifications and for the people that own them they seem to have nothing but good things to say. However there are lesser expensive components on them, when compared to our domestic made rods. Ie. guides, reel seat, grip. Hope this helps.
