I am French and I am new on the Rodd Squad forum.
I need your knowledge. I would build a swimbait rod for a friend who wants fish with SPRO BBZ and other bigbaits, swimbaits.
Bill Siementa (SPRO)l told me that the XC 967 is a good blank to fish with BBZ (He's using it).
My friend would a two pieces rod, so I would like install a spigot ferrule on this blank. I would cut the blank in the middle, and insert the spigot ferrule by the butt. I think using a 3" full carbon stick, that I will turn. Have you some advice to help me, or have you already made it ?

Unfortunately we do not offer a rod like what you are looking for. As for advise on the spigot ferrule. If you insert the ferrule in a rod that is not ment to have one you will most likely break the rod right above the spigot ferrule. There will not be enough material to handle the stress of the ferrule. Hope this helps.
