New to the forum, and am looking for some advice on ocean salmon trolling rods. I'm curious about the BL 7040 C? Too much rod for northern CA kings? I like the 7'6" rod length, as I'm hoping to use for straight trolling (with 2 lb ball) or in a down rigger. Any advice would be appreciated!!
Do you need a one piece rod? Also the BL 7040 C is a lot of rod for downriger use. Most people will look to our certified pro fiberglass line up for that application.
