XMG 50 9'2" or 9'6"

I am looking into getting one of these two rods. What exactly is the difference other than 4 inches? What would be the better application for each rod. I am just guessing that it is more than 4" being the only difference. Thanks

The 9'6" is a little softer

The 9'6" is a little softer do to the added length. The 9'2' is a little faster and feels a bit more powerful. Both are great for drift fishing and throwing spoons-spinner. The 9'2 just balances better.
