I am looking for a cod rod that I can use at georges bank in mass I want to use it for jigging weighing from 16 to 20 ounces. I would like to use braided line. I fish from 175 to 25o ft of water I need some thing as well that will fish bait that has a full bend and something that is senitive to the bight. I uThanse a torium 60 made by shimanno. What would you sugest eveyone who I talked to says to buy one of your rods.

Josh - I'd be very interested in learning more about the new cod rod and the blank to be used for this. I have built on the CGBT96H and it was one of my favorites until it was discontinued. What series will it be in? How is it different from this old Tri-Flex model? How long will it be? Please feel free to email me.

It will be built on a CGBT96H and will be much like the original BL8050C. Probably be available about the first of next month.

I am going Codfishing on Stellwagen Bank in April and am using a BFC 70H. Most of the Captains I spoke with seem to like my selection. I am pairing it with a Newell 454 5.1 gear rating. Hope that helps you to narrow things down a bit.

Any update on the new cod rod that is coming out sometime in april?
They are built here, we are just waiting for the tip tops to show up (not an Item we usually use) then we will just do a tip wrap and coat them and they will be out. I was told some will be done by Friday.
