What is your favorite rod for fall salmon? What is your favorite steelhead rod?
Mine:
Salmon rod - XCF 803. I usually fish from a boat and have caught fish trolling, mooching and with kwiks and spinners using my 803.
Steelhead rod - 9'2'' custom built titanium rod. Sweet!

I am so glad I bought two of the Lami Ti2000 Titanium / IM700 spinning rods before they stopped selling them! I made the 9'3" light spinning rod with my Van Staal VS 150 and I use my VS 250 for the 8'6' heavy Ti2000 Titanium spinning rod. These are the best Lami rods I have ever used; they are so light and so sensitive!
It is sad that now only casting models are available; but maybe they sell the blank for people willing to build a custom rod? I really wish they added this blank technology for saltwater fishing in types of saltwater fishing where lures are primarily used. They marketed them for a short while for bass rods but I think bass fisherman often need so many rods ready to fish that they could not afford the high price of the Titanium rods. They should offer them for rods made for Salmon/steelhead, Stripers, Tuna, Peacock bass, Tarpon, Bone fish, Sword fish, rods in both spinning and casting.
I think you can get any of the blanks that they make in Woodland and string them up however you like, Primaz...I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Fish on...

My favorites depend much on what I am doing or how and were I’m fishing. If I had to say I would go with the EXC92M for steelhead as I love too drift fish and this is the best drift rod I have had in my hand to this day and it throws spinners great also. And for salmon the XCF803 . The only reason I would go with the 803 is because it does so well in a boat pulling most anything from Kwickfish, or prawn spinners, to herring, or spinners, it does it all pretty well. A close second for salmon is not even a salmon rod. If I could only have one rod for the Columbia it would be a LGM80H Muskie rod . This rod can do it all! It does great at Bonneville for back bouncing, it is the best heavy water Alvin rod and it fishes sturgeon like a champ. The 803 may be trumped soon with a new 9'3" composite salmon rod we are testing now. It is showing some real promise. It feels like graphite and fishes like a glass rod in the holder.

New flame tipped hot-shot rods are amazing at fishing and catching fish! Lamiglas makes many other great rods though.
