I am looking to put a new Shamino Curado 300E on my new XMG 50 9'2" rod. Do you think the 300 will be a good match? Or will it be to heavy (10.5 oz.)?
Thanks.

I've got the 201E on mine. if you're going to be on the water all day you'll apreciate the 3oz. difference in weight.

Jay,
I would fish a 200 or 201 and enjoy the light weight of the entire outfit. A 300 size is just a bit big for this rod. John

agree on the 200-series. I tried the XMG 50 96 the other day with the newer curado and it matched good. You can always try it in the store before you buy (that is what I did) since fatigue is important and so is balanc- to me.
