I have been a longtime Lamiglas user and currently have 15 different rods. For a number of years I have used a "Lamiglas Series G 1000, GC7MT, Medium 7' Tournament Walleye" rod for flatline trolling and also planned to use it for walleye and bass. Unfortunately, young son just snapped the last 3" off the tip. In looking at the recent catalog, I don't find this rod listed. Can the rod be repaired? What would you recommend as a replacement rod.

You are correct we no longer make that specific model. The only fixing that could be done is to put on a new tip top guide where it is broken currently. Otherwise if you wanted something to replace it with our suggestion would be our IRFA 703 C. This rod will be the rod that has the closest action to that of the "Tournament Walleye". Hope this helps.
Too bad the rod is no longer available, I really like it. I plan to re-tip the rod and give young son another shot with a refurbished, and slightly shorter 6'9" version.
On another note, what rod would you recommend to specifically target Columbia River walleye?
A friend of mine bought a super surf rod ( 11'5'' 2Pcs 17-40lbs Line Wt SS 115 MHS DH) for me a year ago as a gift, and I don't have the receipt for it nor does he.
I was out fishing for striped bass and the tip of the rod broke off. My question is, can the tip of the rod be repaired, and is this rod under warranty?
For columbia river walleye it would depend on exactly what technique it was you were doing.
As for the super surf you will have to send the rod back to us so that we can figure out if it was a warranty break or not. The receipt is not needed. Hope this helps.
