I'm looking for a new casting rod that will be primarily used for Salmon fishing. Pulling Kwik Fish (large plugs) from a boat. Springers and Fall Kings usually run about 18-35 lbs.
I currently have a few G1000's med & med heavy they seem a little to soft harder to back bounce farther than 80ft, also a couple Back Bouncer's that seem to be to stiff as well as bit short but work very well. So I'm looking for something in the 8'6" to 9" / 10-20lb / medium range ?
Thanks,

My choice is the XCF 802 glass rod. I use it for back trolling plugs for salmon and trolling swim baits for stripe bass in the cal delta. It is a good plug rod if you want something that is 8ft. TROY, T-ROY'S GUIDE SERVICE

For Kwikfish in the larger sizes for Chinook, we recommend the XCF 803. T-Roy's choice of XCF 802 is fine for smaller fish such as Steelhead and Coho, but there is more power in the 803 and it was designed specifically for Chinook.
