i used to have a fenwick fs89c, which i loved but it broke, and when i sent in for replacement .oops. as you know theyre not made anymore . ive always wanted a lamiglass rod ,which model would be a close match to that classic glass feel ? i fish for stripers around the north shore in revere massachusetts ,i fish from the shore and in the surf so i need at the least 8+ feet of rod . also i prefer cork grips and no trigger on the handle ,the classic glass series ? looks like a good place to start, thanks

I use a Rogue River Special 8'6" 3/8to2oz 10 to 25lbs for Stripers on the Piermont pier in NY. Great Action and fun.
Hello Randall,
Our Classic Glass series is a close cousin to the old popular Fenglass rods/blanks. We have an CG 89MHC, which would fit the bill. If you prefer spinning, we just introduced the CG 86MHS. There is no trigger seat on the Classic Glass, except the CG82DR. The old feel of fiberglass is inherent in these rods!

well allright !! thanks guys !! i looked at the classic glass series again .i think ill go with a cg90dr no trigger and 2 inches longe than my old fenwick . what do you think ? i use a penn 975 with 20 lb berkely big game mono and a 50 lb flouorocarbon bite leader 3ft long ( blues ). this could be a killer combo, and the price allows for a second rod which means ill have to buy another reel!!! any thoughts on the abu garcia 10,000 ? they're almost 150$ cheaper than my penn. just a thought . thanks jim and john . i appreciate your input greatly ,randall

You're going to be very happy with the Classic Glass rods...I have two CG82DR's that I use as plug rods, and the ridiculously low price allowed me to get two for less than one of the other plug rods I was using!
Good luck.
Fish on...
