XS 1061 PP vs. Fiberglass???

Has anyone tried the XS 1061PP? I was wondering how the play on the rod was when trying to "walk the dog" with a pencil popper lure. It's graphite and I was wanted to know anyones opinion on this rod when compared to a fiberglass one, which is the "old salt's" choice when out at Montauk. Any advice or personal experience is welcome.

the XS1061PP is actually a triflex rod where the top 1/3 of the rod is glass and butts are graphite. the blanks are a little top heavy if you are not used to that, but over all the blank is nice for pencil poppers. i have built several on the 10' version of this rod, the csu1201m, which was discontinued. the blanks have lot of butt power and a moderate action. they recover much more quickly than the old glass rods.
