It appears Lamiglas only offers this as a Rod Blank- for custom rod building.
Looking for suggestions on the next best Lamiglas Factory Built rod that is similiar or the same to this blank.
Ideally looking for a 9ft - 1 pc rod.
Suitable for 30lb braid
Lure weight from 1/2 oz- 2.5 oz
would prefer to purchase a Lamiglas Factory built VS going the custom route.
Any suggestions?
Regulatorman, I think the Lami equivalent would be the Surf/Jetty Series. XS91MH. If I'm not mistaken, that is the blanks used in those series. Good hunting, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours!
if you are looking for a 1-piece, 9' rod, the SS 91 MHS or the XS 91 MHS are your best options. both can handle up to 2.5 ounce easily, and even push 3 ounces. they can throw 1/2 of an ounce, but may not be the best for that range. The 1L you mentioned really shuts off around 1.5-2 ounce and 2.5 is pushing it. i believe lamiglas is introducing a SS1081L soon, that will be a little more powerful than the GSB1081L, but lighter than the GSB1081M with the technology of the SS-series. if you are patient, and if they make it in a production rod, that may be your best option.

i have to agree i built a rod using the 108L and i love it it'll handle a good sized fish but it's sweet spot is in the 1 ounce range if i go lighter than that i lose distance and if i go heavier the rod feels muddy, good for small plugs and alot of fun if you get a bigger fish.
